Your Personal Data

Your details are safe with us – we will NEVER sell or pass on your details to third parties unless we have specifically discussed this with you, for instance, if you would like us to pass your details to the manufacturer of a product you have ordered from us in order to resolve an issue.

We retain your personal data that you have entered during the process of ordering from us only for our own records, to confirm your order, to contact you regarding your order, or to occasionally contact you about things that we consider would be of interest to you. If you would rather not ever hear from us again, please let us know and we will remove you from any promotional email listings.

We appreciate you leaving your phone number and email address with us, as it speeds up resolving any issues that might arise in a timely manner.

Payment Information

The payment process is carried out by Paypal’s payment gateway and we do not have any access to your Paypal account or to your debit or credit card details when you pay online. When you make a purchase and payment, we are simply informed by Paypal that we have received a payment.

‘Cookies’ are small files that are placed on your hard drive whilst you are on our site. Most cookies are called “session cookies”, which means that they are automatically deleted when you leave the site, or conclude your session.

Whilst you are visiting our site, we use what are called ‘first party cookies’. These are used for tracking the contents of your shopping basket and without using these, you would not be able to place an order. Our first party cookies are also used if you have an account and you are logged in.

In addition to the session cookies described above, anonymous cookies are used on our site which give us information about what sort of visitors we have. This type of cookie tells us how the visitor found us (for example, if the visitor searched for us on Google, or if they already knew and typed our web address to get to us), which pages have been visited, what sort of route the visitor takes around our site and if anything was purchased. We can use this information to analyse how our visitors navigate around our site, if a particular marketing campaign has been effective, any particular buying trends, or the country of origin of our visitors. This is a normal feature of an ecommerce site, and as mentioned before, this statistical information is completely anonymous, but extremely useful to us for understanding our visitors and improving the whole experience for all concerned.

‘Third party’ cookies are used when there is an interaction with an external site. For example, if you link to Facebook from our site, or ‘Like’ a particular product, Facebook cookies become active. Please refer to the cookie information provided by the site in question in order to understand how their cookies are used.

You have the choice to turn off cookies in your browser. You would do this by going to the settings of your browser (If you are using Windows, you go to Tools – Internet Otions – Privacy, but please check for your own particular browser) and selecting the option to block cookies. However, please note that you will not be able to place an order with us nor be able to log in when you want to visit the site as a member. It will also affect  your experience on other websites.

Another way that you can limit how cookies are used is to opt in to the ‘Do Not Track’ feature if your browser provides it.
